Payday Loans Kelowna is a free loan connection service for people who live or work in Kelowna and the Central Okanagan. The site explains what a payday loan is under British Columbia law, who gets approved on Okanagan wages, and what Consumer Protection BC does for you after you sign. It is not a lender and it never charges you.
What this site is
This site is a plain language guide to payday loans in Kelowna, with an apply link that leads to lenders licensed in British Columbia. A payday loan here runs from $100 to $1500 and is repaid from your next paycheque within 62 days. Federal regulation caps the fee at $14 per $100 borrowed; the lender sets and discloses its own fee, total and due date before you sign. Each page also puts that loan beside the installment alternative of $500 to $10000, because a gap between two paycheques and a whole shoulder season without one are different problems.
Kelowna detail sits on every page because it changes the answer. The last cherry cheque in July, the patio that closes after Thanksgiving, the biweekly cycle at Kelowna General Hospital, the winter lull on a framing crew, the drive from Lake Country to a counter on Harvey Avenue: each one decides whether a payday loan fits and what size makes sense.
How we earn money
We earn a referral fee from a lender when a loan funds, and that is the site's only income. The fee comes out of the lender's marketing budget. It does not change your fee, your APR or your repayment, and if your application does not fund, nobody pays anything.
A fee that arrives only on a funded loan gives us one interest: sending you to a lender that will approve you and get repaid. The referral disclosure sets out the arrangement in full.

Who runs it
The site is run by an independent Canadian publisher that operates a small number of local loan guides, one per city. The people who write and check these pages are not lenders, brokers or financial advisers. We read Part 6.1 of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, the Payday Loans Regulation, the guidance Consumer Protection BC publishes and the lender agreements, and we put them into plain sentences. There are no reviews, testimonials or star ratings here.
What we hold ourselves to
Every page is checked against the same short list.
- Every figure follows the current law: a $1500 ceiling, a term of up to 62 days, a payday fee capped by federal regulation, and 35% APR as the federal criminal rate for other lending.
- Approval is described as income based and is never promised. A lender that has not seen your pay deposits cannot know whether it will lend, and neither can we.
- The British Columbia protections are stated as they are: a Consumer Protection BC licence for every payday lender, cancellation at no cost until the end of the next business day, no rollovers, a loan sized to half of net pay at most, and an age of majority of 19.
- Seasonal income is described honestly: a job on the lake, in an orchard or on a construction site is employment income, but a lender wants to see the deposits landing first.
- Pages link to the regulator so you can check us, and when a figure changes, the "last updated" date changes with it.

What we are not
We are not a lender, and we hold no licence from Consumer Protection BC because we do not lend. Nothing on this site collects your banking details, your identification or your income. The application behind the apply button belongs to the lending platform we work with, and the lenders on that platform hold the British Columbia licences. To confirm a lender before you sign, look it up through Consumer Protection BC.
We also have no office or counter in Kelowna. The contact page explains how to reach us and which questions belong with the lender or the regulator, and how applying works walks through the four steps. The FAQ covers the rest.
