Applying through this site is four steps and about five minutes: a short online form, an income check through a read-only bank connection or your pay records, a written offer from a licensed lender with the cost in dollars, and an e-signed agreement paid out by Interac e-transfer. The form belongs to the application platform we work with, not to this site.
What to have ready
You need four things before you start: a Canadian chequing account your pay lands in, your employer's name and pay schedule, a working mobile number and email, and government photo identification that shows you are 19.
| Item | Why the lender needs it |
|---|---|
| Chequing account with employment deposits | Income verification and the e-transfer destination |
| Employer and pay cycle | Sizes a payday loan to no more than half of the net cheque and sets the due date |
| Mobile number and email | Verification codes, the agreement and the e-transfer notice |
| Photo identification | Name match and proof of age 19, British Columbia's age of majority |
Seasonal workers should also know their real next pay date, because the due date has to match it.
Step 1: the application form
The apply button on any page opens the application platform we work with, where a five minute form asks for your address, employer, pay frequency, the amount you want and your banking details. Applying is free, and the match does not put a hard inquiry on your credit file. Ask for what the cheque supports: a $1200 net deposit every two weeks usually means an offer of up to $600, since British Columbia limits a payday loan to half of the net pay it comes out of.

Step 2: income verification
Most lenders confirm income through a read-only bank connection: you log in to your online banking through a secure link, the lender sees about 90 days of deposits, and the connection closes. It takes about a minute and cannot move money. Pay stubs and statements work instead, but a person has to read them, so add a business day.
Hospital, airport and college payroll reads cleanly. Orchard pay that changes with the harvest, restaurant deposits that swing with the season, and a construction cheque you deposit yourself all take a closer look, and a stub settles it.
Step 3: the lender match and the offer
The platform sends your application to licensed lenders whose rules your income, amount and province fit, and any lender that wants your business sends an offer with the cost in dollars. A payday offer states the amount, the fee, the total and the due date. Federal regulation caps that fee at $14 per $100 borrowed, and the lender must show its own figure, at or under the cap, before you sign. See the cost section on the homepage.
An installment offer, for $500 to $10000, states the APR, the payment, the number of payments and the total cost, and the APR must sit at or under 35%. Learn more on the installment loans Kelowna page.

Step 4: e-signature and funding
You sign the agreement on your phone and the lender sends the money by Interac e-transfer, which lands within minutes when autodeposit is on and waits for you to accept it by email when it is not. Payday lenders mostly send during weekday business hours; installment lenders review the credit file first and usually fund the same or next business day. The e-transfer loans Kelowna page covers the cutoffs.
How long the whole thing takes
From the form to money in the account, a payday loan usually takes an hour or two during weekday business hours.
| Stage | Typical time |
|---|---|
| Form | About 5 minutes |
| Bank verification | About 1 minute, or a business day with documents |
| Lender review and offer | Minutes during business hours |
| E-signature | A few minutes |
| E-transfer arrival | Minutes with autodeposit, up to a few hours without |
A form finished on the RapidBus home along Harvey Avenue at 6 pm on a Friday usually waits for Monday morning.

If no lender makes an offer
A decline is usually about the income or the account rather than the credit score. The common causes are no regular employment deposit in the last month, a new account, a run of NSF charges, a payday loan already open, or an amount too large for the cheque. The Kelowna version: the summer job ended three weeks ago and the winter one has not paid yet. The bad credit loans Kelowna page lists the real hard stops.
Your rights after you sign
Under Part 6.1 of British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act and the Payday Loans Regulation, you can cancel a payday loan at no cost until the end of the next business day after signing, and the lender cannot roll it over or lend you a second payday loan to repay the first. Consumer Protection BC licenses every payday lender in the province and takes complaints when one breaks those rules. The about page explains how this site earns its fee and why it never comes from you.
